What inspires you?
I get inspired by anything that touches my soul, writing, music, meditation, people, places.

Who are your favourite artists and why?
My favourite artists are David Hockney as he mixes graphic arts and painting along with design, comfortable with both high culture and an I pad.
I also love Maholy Nagy especially the spacial compositions within his photomontages.

Tell us about a memorable exhibition or creative event you experienced.
The most amazing event I witnessed was Picasso’s Picasso’s in the 1980’s before I left for HongKong. I loved the variety and scale of his work.

What is your work about?
My work is exploring the self and others through drawing, the words expressive and spontaneous are often used to describe my work.

What is your favourite medium or artist’s tool to work with and why?
I love Ink, but I like many different mediums especially trying something new

What do you think art offers society?
An opportunity to express ideas, to communicate and express ideas.

What experiences enabled you to develop your skills as an artist?
Studying art foundation and doing a BA degree at Middlesex University. Loved the whole experience, the projects, fellow students and tutors.

What do you love most about being an artist?
The freedom

Your favourite place to visit in London?
The Southbank

Most inspiring season and why?
Spring because it’s when I was born and I love how everything is bursting into life.

What regularly makes you smile?
Sunshine on my face

blue boy and recent portraits
